The Missouri side of the river, visible in the distance, is lined with leafless, dark trees. In the foreground on the lefthand side several bare branches protrude. Down the hill near the bank of the river on the Illinois side several strands of telephone and electrical wires are visible. The sky is partly overcast and gray, but the glow from the winter sun is visible near the top of the photo. | |
